Earthling Foods brings Korean Dacquoise Cookies to Vancouver

Earthling Foods is baking Seoul’s trendiest dacquoise cookies in Vancouver! Catering to gluten free diets, the dacquoise is made with rice flour and filled with seasonal flavours.

What is Dacqouise?

Dacquoise, macaron’s cousin, is an airy, lightly crisped almond meringue cookie filled with buttercream. Using similar ingredients as macarons, the dacquoise is way easier to make because it embraces an imperfect appearance. Cake flour is added as an extra “stablizer” but in this case, rice flour is used. No resting time or deflation anxiety is added with this cookie.

Fruity, Asian and Simple Flavours

The dacqouise flavours range from nutty, sweet and fruity. Shown in the photos are

  • Honey Pistachio
  • Blueberry Balsamic
  • Black Sesame
  • Lemon Creme
  • Banana Chocolate

The New Cookie in Town

The dacquoise cookie gives you a balanced sweetness and portion size satisfaction that a macaron doesn’t provide. I loved how Earthling Foods fills the cookie to the brim and makes sure the double flavours compliment one another. If you have the chance, try the Honey Pistachio, Blueberry Balsamic, Injeolmi and Matcha!
