Comfort Zone: A New Virtual Restaurant by The Rise Eatery

Comfort Zone is a virtual, delivery only restaurant brand launched by The Rise Eatery. Featuring affordable comfort food perfect for self isolation or staying at home, their takeout concept will leave you feeling warm and fuzzy.

House Smoked Pulled Pork Burger

House Smoked Pulled Pork caramelized apples, queso fresco, jalapeno mayonnaise, and salsa verde on a brioche bun. Served with house mango coleslaw

My Thoughts

The pulled pork was smokey and tender while the caramelized apples still had a nice bite and sweetness. The housemade brioche bun was toasted well and stayed crispy when I reheated it a day later. Everything worked in harmony! ($10)

Grilled Mac and 4 Cheese Sandwich

Macaroni with Gruyere, aged cheddar, parmesan, and cream cheese on sourdough bread.

My Thoughts

I absolutely loved this! Not only was it seasoned well, but also it was cheesy with a beautifully toasted sourdough bread. I reheated half of it to eat the next day and the bread was still at the most optimal crispiness. ($8)

Creamy Tomato Soup

I paired the mac & cheese sandwich with their Creamy Tomato Soup and my mother loved the soup. It had a savory and sweet tomato flavour. It wasn’t too salty and the thicker consistency worked as a dip for the sandwich ($5, 16 oz)

Final Thoughts

The Comfort Zone delivers, no pun intended, both in flavour and price. You can order on Ubereats or call to pick up! The food looks simple but is executed flawlessly. I am excited to see other dishes being added.

Also, I wanted to mention the amazing and quick response and adaption of The Rise Eatery during these challenging times. Even though I am out of the delivery zone, they give me a reason to drive to Vancouver to get takeout. Thank you Chef Dan and Wanda for feeding the frontline and staying open during these times!
