Silvanas by The Khaykery | Filipino Dessert in Vancouver

The Khaykery, owned and operated by the amazing mom to two sons, Khay, recently pop onto the Vancouver food scene with Filipino desserts that many Vancouverites have never heard of: Silvanas – frozen cookies with buttercream.

They described it as a Filipino version of a French macaron and I couldn’t agree more! A cashew meringue cookie filled with the perfect amount of buttercream, I was surprised at how it wasn’t overly sweet!

Dec. Silvana: Holiday Flavours

The Coconut Pandan was slightly overpowered by the coconut flakes but Pandan is often used for aroma and not quite for taste. This is why it compliments the coconut flakes the best.

The White Chocolate Macadamia Nut was delicious! I loved the mini white chocolate chis and crunchy macadamia nuts. It was not overly sweet either.

The Ube Silvana is coated with Ube cake crumbs and it has a mild, slightly nutty flavour.

The Ferrero Rocher Silvana is coated with fragrant hazelnuts and makes a great two in one dessert.

Final Thoughts

The Khaykery is always solved out early because many people are flocking over to their store on 108-1610 Robson St, Vancouver, BC V6G 1C7.

I highly recommend these delicious bites because they unique and perfect for people who don’t like overly sweet dessert. They also have beautiful flan ube cupcakes and cakes too!
